When it comes to local festivals, and might I add free, Stroud Fringe Festival beats them all. Ok I might be a little biased because it’s hosted in my hometown but it really is a brilliant gathering of talent, culture and joy at the end of the summer. Tonight the headline acts were announced and it’s nice to hear that the great festival gurus at Stroud Fringe HQ have opted to showcase their finest local talent on the top bill. Starting with George Montague who has been a long time favourite of mine, Hot Feet who have recently appeared on 6 Music and Thee One have been picked for the post.
Stage manager Freddie Whittaker said: “Over the last couple of years we have made a name for ourselves by bringing you amazing acts from across the UK.
“But some of the best acts around come from right here in Gloucestershire, and we’re proud to announce that all three headline acts this year are local”
“All three acts are doing incredibly well, not just locally but across the country, and are amazing ambassadors for our awesome town and county.”
