Introducing: Stills

Over a mutual bond of music following meeting at a Central Saint Martins College of Art party back in 2011, Stills have since gone on to rebel against the endless stream of guitar bands that they once lived and formed a hybrid of all their influences from Hurts to Bat For Lashes, Gary Numan and Magnetic Man.

The man behind the synths, Felix, is now free to explore his own creativity and talent as a manual man behind the keys making music that really gets the heart pounding. Alumni alongside Tom Vek, Andree (the second half of Stills), worked in tandem with Felix’s production to put her songwriting skills to good use. Catching the attention of Groove Armada who remixed their initial track UR Mine, their relationship went further when their second track Rain featured the vocals of Saint  Saviour of Groove Armada, Paper Romance fame. Coming across these guys at the Brixton Jamm afterparty for the NME tour their maturity with music, passion in their delivery and dark glimpses that hark back to days gone by with a contemporary twist, certainly caught my attention.

Their track Saturated State encapsulates all of this into one bundle that rings in your ears with its catchy melody, angelic piano and driven beats that make it a stellar addition to their upcoming EP.

Listen to their track Saturated State right here.
