So wish I was in London for this. Gemma Cairney and Dawn Porter have joined forces yet again for Rumble in the Jumble.
Taking place next Saturday punters will be able to rumage through the wardrobes of Paloma Faith, Daisy Lowe (be still my beating heart) and Alison Mossheart amognst others, all in aid of charity. Organised by The Music Circle the event will be in aid of abused women in the Democratic Republic of Congo, part of Oxfam’s Get Together Day for International Women’s Day on 8 March.
Celebrities and musicians will be donating their unwanted goods and you can get your hands of their very wardrobes for a great cause. Not only will you be able to check out some great clothes, a pop-up retro hair stylists’ corner, photobooth and mulled wine and cider.
Last year the Get Together event raised £7,000. The event is taking place at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, 42-44 Pollard Row, London, E2 6NB.
If you’re like me and can’t make it, then why not make your own event closer to home and help to raise money by selling on your unwanted close for a good cause!
Here’s a taster of what happened in 2012.
