Soundtrack to my week: 13/01

Ears in the headphones and getting on with work, my shuffle has been working overtime this week.

Skrillex – Bangarang

It’s dark, it’s cold, it’s a January morning so what better way to wake you up on the daily commute down the motorway than Skrillex. By far my favourite track from the EP and one that gets me going in the morning

Break Out – Young Kato

Headlining Gloucester Guildhall this Friday Young Kato’s latest track is all nice and wintery that’s darn catchy too

Milo Greene – 1957

This week’s free download from itunes, they sound a little similar to Of Mice and Men with that lead female vocal vibe but the music is gorgeous and a pleasure to hear

Frank Turner – Four Simple Words

Another free download of the week, ahead of his huge European tour Frank Turner released two free tracks. This one is definitely my favourite and I remember hearing it live at his sold out Wembley Arena gig. Looks like it’s also going to kick off his upcoming album set for release this spring, I can’t wait!

Wham – Wake Me Up Before You Go Go

When planning my radio show it’s always funning putting together the playlist and this time I went for a bit of Wham. The Christmas hangover has well and truly passed so it’s time to get on our feet and shake our tail feathers, in winter coats of course!

What a week it’s been for music news too! Beyonce, JT, the naughties nostalgia is coming back and something tells me next week is going to be full of great new music news in the pipeline. Until then 🙂
