Alt-J Unveil Track ‘Buffalo’ For Film ‘Silver Linings Playbook’

Something good yet something not taken from their current album, Alt-J’s track ‘Buffalo’ – featured in the latest Bradley Cooper film ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ – has been unveiled.

The Mercury Music Prize winners will join the likes of Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder and Jonny Cash on the soundtrack to the film directed by David O. Russell, which sees leading roles played by Jennifer Lawrence and The Hangover star Bradley Cooper.

‘Buffalo’ stays true to Alt-J’s unique sound and was streamed via Entertainment Weekly earlier today and you can hear it right now.

‘Silver Linings Playbook’ premiered in the US last night, while the UK release date is set for next Wednesday. The full soundtrack is due to go on sale 19 November.

Figures released last week have shown that since their Mercury Music Prize, the four-piece from Leeds have seen a huge 411% increase in sales of their debut album ‘An Awesome Wave’, which was released in May.
